My wife's 2000 Volvo V70 XC is all a sudden having trouble starting.  It always used to start on the first try, but now it takes a time or two.

There does not appear to be a pattern to the problem, sometimes it has the problem first thing in the morning, sometimes after running an errand, or sometimes it doesn't happen at all, any ideas?

Not enough info. Does it start after a long crank time or does she have to wait and try later. Does she remove the key and retry again with better start time. Have you had codes checked in burgler system? Can not help with so little info.
