I was going to post this topic in the Hyundia forums, but since it hasn't been active in over 3 year, I thought I might have been luck here. Anyway, my recently widowed neighbor has a 2013 Hyundia Santa Fe. With a 4 cylinder engine. A rat / rodent ate up the vacuum line from the vacuum solenoid to the intake runner control actuator. Luckily the vacuum supply line is intact. That one runs under the air manifold plenum.

So my question is about the ate up vacuum line to the runner actuator from the solenoid. Is this only a vacuum line? Or is there supposed to be a check valve / restrictor also in that missing vacuum line? The underhood sticker didn't mention this, nor did the owners manual.
