[font="'times new roman', serif;"]They did it once more. Mercedes-Benz engineers have another time taken all the relevant style cues from the top-of-the-line S-Class sedan to make the new generation of the company's entry-level C-Class. This initial happened with the 1994 C-Class. long-faced with increasing competition from Japanese luxury makers within the early Nineteen Nineties, notably within the entry-level luxury category, Mercedes-Benz met its competition with the then-new C-Class. That automotive used new technologies and construction techniques to supply "more automotive while not a lot of price," setting the theme for future Mercedes-Benz merchandise. The 1994 to 2000 C-Class leveraged the fashion of the S-Class of its time, however was a awfully completely different style of machine than that S-Class.
The current S-Class hereditary the techniques and technologies born with the 1994 C-Class once it debuted in 2000. It designed on the more and more fashionable look of the Mercedes-Benz coupes and sedans that debuted within the late Nineteen Nineties. Gone was the Teutonically severe imperial limo, replaced by a youthfully jazzy form. which coupelike form is incredibly discernible within the lines of the 2001 C-Class.
This time, the C-Class inherits over simply appearance from its massive relation, obtaining most of the S-Class's safety systems moreover. The new C-Class's unibody structure is a lot of rigid, with magnified crush-zone structures. The suspension has been revised, and therefore the four-wheeled antilock disc brakes square measure larger. Most notably, 2 new engines square measure found underneath the hood. The previous-generation C's inline four- and six- cylinder engines are replaced by 2 V6es. The C240 incorporates a 168- power unit, 2.6-liter engine; the C320 uses the 215-hp three.2-liter V6 additionally found within the E-, CLK-, ML-, and SLK-Classes.
I've been driving a 2001 C320 for the past week. It's undoubtedly a Mercedes-Benz. it is also undoubtedly rather more automotive than the recent C280, with a a lot of fashionable, U.S.-friendly style and magnified power and refinement. there's nothing "entry level" regarding it. Mercedes-Benz has once more raised the bar within the little luxury sedan category.
APPEARANCE: The recent C-Class was boxily conservative. Conservative styling is history at Mercedes-Benz. The 2001 C-Class is incredibly a lot of the junior relation to the S-Class, with similar figure-eight headlights and a coffee, wide implementation of the standard Mercedes grille. The well-raked windscreen, arched roofline, and short, high rear deck provides it a coupe-like look, even over the S-Class. Look closely at the rear-view mirrors. they need integrated auxiliary flip signals and extremely convenient puddle lights. the massive triangular taillights were a previous-generation C-Class trademark, and were traced wide. That vogue was changed for the S-Class, and is slightly restyled once more for the C. though it's solely an in. longer, the new C-Class appearance rather more substantial than the recent version.
COMFORT: Even over outside, the within of the new C-Class resembles the S. And, like the S, it's extremely Americanized, with window lifts on the doors and auxiliary controls on the wheel. Elegantly-rounded vogue replaces the recent C's austere severity, and makes the inside appear a lot of spacious. it's larger within, particularly in rear- seat area. Seats square measure typical Mercedes-Benz - firmly corroborative for long-distance comfort, with commonplace perforated animal skin upholstery. The front buckets square measure each power-adjustable, with three-position memory for the driver's seat. The rear bench is contoured for 2 folks, and optionally will have a 60/40 split and ski passthrough. The trunk is giant for the dimensions of the automotive. copy front, a tilt and telescope-adjustable wheel permits the proper driving position. Most controls square measure intuitively-placed and operated. The ex gratia CD changer is within the glovebox, wherever the traveler will operate it, and there's still helpful glovebox area. The two-layer center console incorporates a helpful cooled lower compartment. twin windscreen wipers square measure associate degree improvement on the recent single wiper, giving quicker clearing and higher visibility.
SAFETY: commonplace safety instrumentality includes a durable safety-cage chassis, dual-force front airbags, door-mounted aspect airbags and head- protection aspect curtain airbags, psychic phenomena stability management, Brake Assist, the BabySmart kid seat recognition system, and therefore the TeleAid emergency decision system.
ROADABILITY: "Insulated, not isolated" has long been the Mercedes suspension philosophy, which still applies. The C320 is a lot of a luxury sedan than a sports sedan. it's a softer suspension standardisation with a lot of body motion than a sports sedan, however consists in arduous cornering. In commonplace kind, it is a compliantly-comfortable automotive for moving long distances in comfort on any variety of sealed road. A sport suspension is on the market.
PERFORMANCE: Welcome to the new, fun Benz. whereas the C320's most 215 power unit and 221 lb-ft of force are not quite up to the amount of the recent AMG C36 and C43 hot rods, the new automotive is perceptibly healthier than the recent C280. The five-speed transmission system options adaptive logic that learns a driver's vogue and compensates for grade ascents by delaying shifting and descents by shifting to a lower gear. "Touch Shift" manual management permits the motive force to over-ride the pc, and will improve acceleration and recreation a trifle. however with the force peak highland between 3000 and 4600 rate, shifting is strictly ex gratia.
CONCLUSIONS: Mercedes-Benz has improved its little C-Class sedans. think about them because the C++ category.

Not sure if you are a spammer or not. You wrote in English, didn't plug Ugg boots, Viagra, porn, or mail order brides. However, if you think any of us here are looking for a Mercedes Benz as our next car, guess again. Saltmine is retired, i live next to section 8 housing, and Blazin just moved out of his dumpster. Unless you like to reposes vehicles after you sell them, i suggest you look elsewhere.

No longer working at dealerships. Government employee. Now i get paid to fix Fords.
