I had a hard time getting a crank pulley off today on an early 2000 sonata. I used some jaw pullers to yank it off, and much to my chagrin the damn timing gear came right off with it. Pulled right off the belt and everything.
Did I do something wrong here? I'm regretting maybe not trying to tapping around the pulley 1st with a mini sledge or something 1st before going at it with the puller.
